"Bought at a records fair sometime in 1986. An enjoyable show from the Body and Soul tour, a good insight into concert taping in the intro!Lively crowd as well, there are a lot better sounding shows out there but this is still very listenable. I'm not sure if this isn't running a bit slow, but you might want to tweak the speed in Audtion or Audacity. Scan of tape inlay included, filler tracks not part of the RAR file.

This tape ran a bit slow, so I raised by +5% the speed/pitch at Wavepad and the result is outstanding, now the speed is perfect. First I decoded the flacs to wav, edited the speed, then re-flac the wav files at Flac Level 8 with TLH. I also created a new checksum since the files are not the same anymore. Thanks again to gimmetruth to this HUGE upload, the quality for my ears is EX-"

Original Info File:

Tape received in my trading period from end 80's until mid 90's.

This is the last date of the 1984 "Black October Tour". I haven't seen this gig circulating
on DIME and other sites/blogs related to lossless SOM recordings. So Here it is...

Unknown recording equipment and this is maybe coming from a vinyl bootleg.

Sound quality is average to my taste and you also have to know the following :

-on side 1 of the tape, right channel was down, so I copied left channel on it. Side 2 was OK
-tape flip between "Train" and "Floorshow"
-there was also a "recording flip" during "Alice" as a small part is missing just before
"Don't Give It Away..."
-I only processed a slight hiss reduction + a fade in / out

Despite all this, the gig is great with an interesting setlist and the band seems very happy
to play this last date. After "Knocking On Heaven's Door", Wayne talks a lot to the audience.

Another concert from the Black October Tour, this one is quite special since it was the first time Some Kind Of Stranger was played live. The band didn't played lice this song many times, until the 90's where it became part of the Comfortably Numb medley, but with a completeley diferent musical background.
