The Sisters of Mercy - Leysin Rock Festival, Leysin, Switzerland - 10.07.1993 (Flac)

Lineage: Trade CDr -> TLH -> Flac

NOTES: Sounds not good, I would rate it 4 on a scale from 0 to 10, so this one is mainly for collector. Some drops are present, probably due to a bad connection on the mic wire. A pity, because the concert is great with a lot of medley and extended versions of songs. First concert with Adam Pearson on guitar. Also one of the few times the band played Hawkwind's Silver Machine.

Setlist:

01. Comfortably Numb / Some Kind Of Stranger
02. Ribbons
03. Floorshow
04. More / Louie Louie / More
05. Giving Ground
06. Detonation Boulevard
07. Alice
08. Amphetamine Logic
09. Body Electric
10. First And Last And Always
11. This Corrosion
12. Flood II
13. Silver Machine / Under The Gun / Silver Machine
14. Vision Thing

Paris Riots - Jacob's Ladder (34 seconds snippet MP3)

Paris Riots is a James Ray/Merciful Release project that never saw the light of the day. Well, it kind of did, the DAT was sold on eBay along with the contract, then some CDr versions with a xerox copy of the contract. Everyone that ever bought it, paid it's price in gold and kept it to himself/herself, making it a kind of urban myth.

It exists, here's a 34 seconds snippet to prove it.

It's cool, it would be much cooler if it was complete, Way cooler if someone released it officially along with more 9 songs or so.

Don't ask for more, I don't have it. I kidnapped someone's grandmother just to receive this snippet. That's all he tought the old grumpy lady was worth.

The Sisters Of Mercy - Crystal Palace, London, UK - 31.07.1993 (Batmix FLAC)

Excellent sounding version of this recording. Thanks to Steve for his work and fo the share on the now extinct forum Cureconnections,

Original Info File.

Lineage: CD-EAC(WAV)>FLAC level 8>convert to WAV with TLH>adobe audition 3, slight EQ to richen it a bit>FLAC Level 8 with TLH>You

Using the 0 gen version from dime (original text included), I decided to work on making the sound a bit more warm & rich.
I think I got it about right & it's a bit easier to listen to at volume now.
The date is the 31st. I went to see this show. How could I resist the Sisters & Depeche Mode on the same evening?
Thankfully, they didn't murder Comfortably Numb that evening.
Great perfeormance, marred only by the fact that the bass died during Floorshow & Andrew insisted on being extra chatty.
Please don't distribute this as a lossy set. It is a damn good recording & it's a shame to have it messed up like that.

The Sisters Of Mercy - Eissporthalle, Kassel, Germany - 04.12.1993 (Flac)

Another upgrade to Flac. Thanks to the original uploader.

Original Notes:

Part of the SUPERBANG Tour 1993 The Sisters of Mercy were headlining the "Festival". Other bands were  The Ramones, Type O Negative and Monster Magnet. After Monster Magnet we had to leave the venue cause some left wing people told the venue, accusing Tpe-O-Negative for being a right wing nazi band, that  they installed some bombs which they would bring to detonation when Type-O-Negative starts playing. No bombs were found and after one hour in a nice cold december night, we could go in again for our festival without Type-O-Negative of course...

Not my best recording, but the acoustic in a ice hokey stadium is not very perfect.....

The Sisters of Mercy - NEC, Birmingham, UK - 22.12.1993 (Flac)

An upgrade to Flac of one of my favorite concerts. HUGE Thanks to DrG for sending me this version to share here, and of course to the original poster on Dime,  gimmetruth.

DrG Notes:  Corrected track 6 mislabeled "Destination...", removed MD5 in favor of FFP from FLAC Frontend.  Shared at Heartland with good grace of gimmetruth!

NOTE FOR DARK CIRLCE ROOM POST: Some bootlegs sound like they were recorded in a tin can, some like they were dropped in a bucket of water. I listen to all my music through Winamp with *flat* EQ. However, with most *iffy* sounding bootlegs, chances are that EQing can help. That is how I remaster some recordings for CD (to play in a car and such). At home, I use Winamp's EQ to make a tinny bootleg have more bass, and a bassy boot have more treble. Try it... experiment. I can send you a screen shot for the preset I made for this TSOM recording if you need... I love it! It's twice as loud and adds punch!!!
