Patricia Morrison - Duchess Of York, Leeds, UK -11.06.1994 (Flac)

And another rarity shared here by Egg_Crisis.

Cassette(aud,master,TDK FE90,recorded on Saisho PS 35R with built-in mic) > wav > Soundforge(normalise uneven L&R channels) > CDWave(split on sector boundaries) > flac(6)

Tape flip during opening moments of last song. Matched drumbeats on the edit so it's barely noticeable, if at all.

Her band had been due to play at the Duchess on 3rd Aug 1992. I went along to the gig only to find it'd been cancelled at the last moment. On that occasion the band was named as "Sister Gun" on the gig advertisements although I've no idea if this was an official name or the Duchess's doing, but perhaps a Sisters-based name wasn't a good idea anyway, given what happened when two other ex-Sisters tried something similar with their band!

The Sisters of Mercy - Tuska Metal Festival, Helsinki - 30.06.2006 (Flac)

Excellent sound in this recording. Huge Thanks to DrSisters for sendiong me his master to share here.

Source: SONY TCD-D8 + MM-HLSC-3 @ 48kHz >> PC >> Adobe Audition >> 44.1khz >> TLH >> FLAC8.

Sisters perform in daylight in front of drunk Finnish metal heads, there was some technical issues with Chris guitar during the whole show. but apart from that the sound was ACE, Eldritch vocals is crystal clear

Eldritch just before Slept : "On The Ku'damm"

Eldritch before Anaconda: "How Many Grimreapers do we have in the crowd exactly ? I see two " was directed to the guys in front disguised as Grim reapers with plastic scythes..

Eldritch before Temple Of Love: "Deep down bad to the bone wrong" Guess that was a reference to Vision Thing and This War Is Wrong.

Enjoy !!

The Sisters of Mercy - Crystal Palace, London - 31.07.1993 (MultiCam DVD)

I already posted a DVD of this concert, but this one is something totally diferent! This is a MultiCam made by Sisterstekland Aka Lasyboylive, using the two different video angles from this concert, both cleaned up of  some imperfections on the image, synched with a remastered sound from the "Enjoy The Puppet Show" bootleg. He was kind enough to let me share it, so all thanks go to him for his hard work and generosity.

The Sisters of Mercy - Bank Austria Zelt, Wien - 02.12.1993 (DVD)

An excellent work from jost 7, remastering the sound, making what is probably the definitive verdion of this bootleg DVD. Huge thanks to him for letting me post it here.

Quality video: 2-, audio: 2+
DVD (PAL)
Ratio 4:3

overall great to watch, great atmosphere, bring your friends, share a spritzer and dance!

Lineage/Source: Video: dime; Audio: cdr > flac > Wavelab, vinyl, tape > wavelab; > DVD (Video & Audio Merge, Menu) Nero Vision Express

For a few audio parts i had to take the audio from video as it was the only source. especially the intro, first 1.5 minutes, is affected.

1 Afterhours
2 Comfortably Numb / Some Kind Of Stranger
3 Ribbons
4 Train / Detonation Boulevard
5 Alice
6 Giving Ground
7 Come Together
8 Anaconda
9 On The Wire / Teachers
10 Amphetamine Logic
11 Flood II
12 Temple Of Love
13 This Corrosion
14 break
15 First & Last & Always
16 Under The Gun
17 break
18 Something Fast
19 Vision Thing

video is good but shows problems with heavy lightning and fog. set saturation and brightness-values on your device. audio is now very nice, adjust to your device and turn up loud

A nice show and the first of the 1993 Overbombing Tour. Andrew is in more than good mood, which can be made out easily. his vocal performance also shows this circumstance, with both great ups and small downs, especially when it's something fast. andrew is the man to give away his soul to the audience. feel it!

Rise, Reverberate.

Do not sell. Don't dare to. Don't worry

The Sisters Of Mercy - Fenders Ballroom, Long Beach, California - 30.05.1985 (PAL DVD)

Excellent video, even if plagued by too much smoke. Huge Thanks to Egg_Crisis for sharing his repaired version of this complete concert.

VHS(TDK HS E180, unknown gen) > LG DVD/VCR combo > DVD-RW disc > TMPGenc(editing the video) > TMPGenc DVD author(add chapters & menu,no re-encode) > VIDEO_TS folder
With all the songs in the correct order and a new improved audio track. (see below)

PAL DVD
Menu
Chapters at the start of each track
Video: MPEG2 Video 720x576 (4:3) 25.00fps 6556Kbps
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz stereo 256Kbps

The VHS came (around 1990) from a guy in Manchester.  I believe most peoples copies of this gig originate from that guys copy.  I couldn't guess at what generation it is, but it's probably not been professionally transferred.  If someone were to trace a low gen NTSC copy and transfer it professionally I think it'd be an imprpovement on what we have here.  However what we have isn't bad.  What was bad was the sound.

What you got when you got a copy of this VHS was an incomplete version of the gig, starting part-way through No Time To Cry.  Also on the tape were the missing first 3 songs (as well as a more complete No Time To Cry) where someone had attempted to dub various audio tracks on.  It was a mess.  There were multiple versions of each song, but there was no copy of the first few songs with their original sound - I don't know why, but it pissed me off enough to eventually create this video.
Once I placed the first 3 dubbed tracks in the correct order with the rest of the gig and made a few timings I found there were a few seconds missing between each of these first few tracks.  I used clips from elsewhere in the video to fill in these small gaps.  All the timings were done on paper, then I used TMPGenc to cut appropriate length pieces to fill the gaps (not as easy as it sounds as TMPGenc won't let you cut with frame accuracy, it's only accurate to about 12 frames, the same as when you're positioning chapters).  Once I had all the bits I joined them all together.

Then I had to reconstruct the soundtrack.  For tracks 2-4 & 8-11 I used the soundboard audio from the "Silence Is Platinum" 2x7" set.  For the other 4 tracks I used an audience recording.  For any other little bits that weren't covered by those 2 sources I used the video audio.  Once speedcorrected to match the video audio it was only a case of building up the soundtrack using Soundforge, then encoding and adding the audio track back to the video and authoring it.  I did the whole thing in one long 6-8 hour session.

There's one part during the first song (I think) where you see Eldritch's mouth for a few seconds and can see it's not in sync.  I tried ages to get it to sync but it just stubbornly refused to, so I left it as it is.  It's only a few seconds anyway.

Tape flip before last song.

On the cassette inlay "Drive Her Mad" was listed as "Drive Her" and "Trick Of The Light" was listed as "Trick".  I'm guessing maybe someone got a setlist from the front of the stage and got the song titles from there.  Because of this, some of the song titles may be in a shortened form and not their full titles.
